Abla Abdul Hameed Bokhari is a Professor in the Department of Economics/ Faculty of Economic & Administration at King Abdul-Aziz University. She is a member of the board of directors in Al-Zakir International Group; a member of Al Faisalia Assembly of charity feminism; and establishing member of The Regional Conference of the Arab Woman in the Middle East and Africa. She holds a Ph.D. in Maritime Transport Economics at the Arab Academy Science & Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria 2001. Additionaly, she hold a second PhD in Tourism Economics at University of Bradford/ United Kingdom 2008. She held several administrative positions: Secretary of economics department; Supervisor of the affiliation program, Director of business incubators of businesses and knowledge alliance; then Supervisor of health services and hospital management department; Deanship of students’ affairs activities; Supervisor of my hand made center for small businesses, and a full-time economic consultant at the Oriental Commercial & Shipping Co., Ltd. (Secondment). Later, she was the deputy director of the Center of Strategic Studies' Center for Future Prospective.
Dr. Bokhari has her teaching experience in Micro and Macroeconomics, economic development and planning, regional economics, projects’ evaluation and managerial economics, tourism economics, research methods, and entrepreneurship. She wrote two books in Principles of Microeconomics, and some irregular articles in Maritime economics. She was involved in several lectures and workshops in human capital investment, voluntary work, marriage license economics, starting small business and economic Feasibility study.
